It is designed to protect Clear Lease, our customers, and the broader online community from unethical, irresponsible, and illegal activities.
Clear Lease reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for customers found in violation of this policy. In extreme cases, we may be required to report violations to the appropriate authorities.
Fair Use
Our services are provided under the expectation of "business as usual" usage, as defined in our offer schedule. Excessive usage may result in additional fees or restricted capacity.
Clear Lease opposes all forms of abuse, discrimination, rights infringement, and actions that harm or disadvantage individuals, groups, or resources. We expect customers and their end-users to use our Products in alignment with these principles.
Customer Accountability
Customers are responsible for their own actions and those of any users who access our Products with their permission or due to insufficient security measures.
By using our Products, customers agree to ensure compliance with this policy for themselves and their end-users. Complaints regarding customer or end-user actions will be directed to the account's designated contact.
Violations of this policy may result in the suspension or termination of associated services or accounts, with remedial or preventative measures taken at Clear Lease's discretion. No credits will be issued for service interruptions caused by policy violations, to the extent permitted by law.
Prohibited Activities
Copyright Infringement and Unauthorised Material
Our Products must not be used to transmit, distribute, or store material that violates applicable laws, including:
- Copyrighted, trademarked, or proprietary content without authorisation.
- Obscene, defamatory, or illegal content.
Customers are solely responsible for obtaining legal permissions for all material uploaded, shared, or transmitted through our Products.
SPAM and Unauthorised Messaging
The use of our Products for unsolicited bulk or commercial messages ("spam") is prohibited, including:
- Sending spam or soliciting responses to spam from other networks.
- Running unconfirmed mailing or messaging lists.
Messaging lists hosted on our Products must be “confirmed opt-in,” with owner permission verifiable for the list's lifespan. Purchased email or phone number databases intended for spam are strictly prohibited.
Unethical, Exploitative, and Malicious Activity
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Facilitating spam or unauthorized network activity (e.g., sniffing, spoofing, flooding).
- Unauthorized access to accounts or resources ("hacking").
- Introducing viruses or malicious code.
- Harassment, hate speech, or advocacy of intolerance.
- Activities violating consumer protection laws or individual privacy.
Clear Lease also prohibits the use of our Products for activities involving:
- Illegal gambling, terrorism, narcotics trafficking, arms trafficking, or weapons of mass destruction.
Unauthorised Use of Clear Lease Property
Impersonating Clear Lease, misrepresenting a business relationship, or fraudulently using our brand or Products is prohibited.
Policy Modifications
Clear Lease may update this policy to reflect changes in services or legal requirements. Updates take effect on the earlier of:
- The customer's continued use of our Products after the revised policy is published.
- 30 days after the revised policy is published.
